Extra! Extra! Brand New Meme!

Have been working on this meme for over a month!  I wanted thoughtful and fun questions.  Am hoping that many of you will also respond to the questions.  It is such a cool way to get to know more about the people in blogland.  So, here we go!

1. Take a look at the walls in your home.  Which picture/object is your favorite and why?  Bonus points if you post a picture!
There is a print of the The Lady of Shallot hanging in my dining room.  It would be my favorite, because I love Tennyson's poem.  The massive original hangs in the Tate Museum in London.

The Lady of Shallot by John William Waterhouse

2.  What is/are your favorite perfume(s)?
Bobby Brown 'Bath', White Citrus from Bath and Body Works, and Ralph Lauren Blue.

3.  How many pairs of shoes do you own?  Have you ever hidden new shoes from your spouse?
OMG! Because Sam reads my posts, I am going to cap it off at 50.  If you want the actual count, send me an email.  Yes, I have stashed shoes, because I love my husband and don't want to cause him undue grief and irritation.

4.  Snacks - Sweet, Salty, or Both?  If you could choose 1 snack, and it magically had no calories, what would it be?
I would have to admit to both.  I adore big hot pretzels with a beer.  For a miracle, zero-calorie candy, M & Ms would be my choice.

5.  What are your favorite cut flowers?

Anything white.  My top pick would be white tulips, 1 day old when they start to droop a bit.

6.  Without using a real name, describe one person in your life with whom you have a hard time being patient.
Well, that's an easy choice.  You all know that would have to be my sister-in-law, Patty.  She is bossy and a know-it-all!

7.  What food do you love that your spouse hates?  What food does your spouse love that is "yecch" to you?
One of my favorite dishes would be steak and kidney pie (with a pint in a London pub is even better.)  Sam has to look away while I eat.  He loves just about any fish, and I cannot abide the smell.

8.  What is a song you associate with meeting your honey?
OK, this will really date me.  The first years we were dating, I loved Moon River by Henry Mancini.

9.  Do you have a favorite movie that you like to watch every few months or once a year?
There are so many that I watch over and over, especially for Christmas.  If I had to pick one, I would have to say To Kill a Mockingbird.

10.  What collection(s) do you have?  How did your collection start?  (Add a picture if you like.)
I collect glass birds that are displayed on my front patio.  It started when I got rid of the window box outside my kitchen window and added a few glass birds. The finches who visit my feeders look so cute walking among the glass birds.

11.  Where would you like to go on your next vacation?  Is there somewhere else on your Bucket List?
Would love to visit one of you on a vacation someday.  We are also saving for a trip back to London and a tour of the D-Day beaches across in Normandy.

12.  If you could only buy clothes at one store, at what store would you shop?
I love Ann Taylor Loft!

13.  What gift(s) from your spouse have been the most loved and appreciated?
Ella Draped Over This - Quite a Target
Sam brought me a pair of stone bird figurines from a trip to Texas.  I never stop marveling at how beautiful they are.

There is also a bolster pillow used for spanking.  I have a love/hate relationship with that gift.  It depends on what kind of spanking we are talking about.

14. Name one item of your spouse's clothing that you would love to throw away.
Any of the many "work outside" T-shirts with stains from the garage.  He feels these are also appropriate for indoor wear.

15.  What is the submissive action (or inaction) of which you are most proud?
Not saying anything when Sam got us lost in San Antonio.  I just kept smiling.  It actually did make the trip much more pleasant!

Now, dear readers, it is your turn!  Leave us a comment, so we all know where to visit and read your answers.  If you are a lurker and do not have a blog, please send me any responses you like in an email.  Perhaps I can publish a few of your answers anonymously.
Have fun!

    1. So glad you like it, PK! I thought the favorite picture would tell a lot about a person. My walls are so full of things I love, Sam says we will need to put on an addition to the house for anything more.

    1. Hi Minelle,
I did work diligently on these questions. Wanted them to be something that would make you think, and I wanted to get to know you a bit better. I think it would be very interesting to read about why you could not answer a question.

    1. Hello Ronnie,
Thanks for the compliment! It took me a long time to come up with really thoughtful questions. I looked at some older memes but they seemed too generic.
It is fun to meet new people this way. Glad you stopped by.

  13. I think this is a great meme. It's about time we had one around here as it's ages since the last one.

I am totally amazed at how many similarities there are here: shoes, the poster of the Lady of Shallot and Tennyson's poems, steak and kidney pie, and you also hate the smell of fish (as do I).

I really loved your answers and you can create a meme any day!

    1. Ami,
You make me so happy every time I hear from you. I have never had a friend who loves that poem! And most everyone here in the States finds steak and kidney pie disgusting. My father made it when I was little. I was the only kid who would eat it. I use a recipe he and I used to make together.
      Love you Across the Pond!

  18. What a wonderful meme. Thoughtful questions...and I loved reading your answers. That is a lot of shoes (to a woman who would much rather be barefoot if she could) :-) I think I own less than ten maximum... Will look forward to answering these someday...just catching up reading a bit now... Hugs

  19. Hi Ella, :) I have enjoyed seeing all the different answers from people all around the land. What a great meme! I have copied it and will work on my answers, and post shortly. Very creative questions for sure! Thank you for taking the time to think it up!

I loved reading all of your answers. Loft is my FAVOURITE store to buy clothes at. They have a great petite section too!

That bolster looks like it was such a "sweet" gift from your Sam. LOL! I bet that you can have lots of spanky fun on that. It is the "not spanky fun" that you could have on that, that would put that out of it's category for me! LOL! Enjoy! Many hugs,

    <3 Katie
